Try resetting the controller. There's a tiny button close to L2. Hold it in with a paper clip for 5 seconds. If that doesn't fix it, try moving your console to be facing towards you and make sure there's nothing in the way between it and the controller. This might improve the connection.

R2 Button not working By Jaeger711 January 6, 2015 in Help & Support Jaeger711 Members Joined: 01/06/2015 Posted January 6, 2015 So I just got GTA V for PS4. R2 does not work unless I smash it down. Cant drive at full speed. Controller works fine for every other game. Anyone have a fix for this?

You can export the config to your personal area so you'll always have it, but once you press 'Done' it's the configuration the game will load each time. You may have to reload that from your personal area when you reboot, until the game learns a bit about you - or not.
